Overview
Redesigned website combining Leatherstocking Storage Inc with acquired AJ Storage into a singular, comprehensive information source.
This project focused on consolidating two separate websites into a single, cohesive digital experience for Leatherstocking Storage. Each of the original sites represented different storage offerings, resulting in fragmented information, inconsistent navigation, and outdated content.
The primary goal was to bring both properties under unified ownership and transform them into one streamlined, user-friendly source for up-to-date information on all available storage solutions. This included restructuring site navigation, simplifying content, and ensuring clarity across all service offerings.
The final outcome was a modern, responsive website built on a no-code platform. The new site provides a centralized hub for all current storage options, improves the overall user experience, and enables the client to easily manage and update content moving forward.

Design Process
Website Audit & Discovery
I began by conducting a detailed analysis of the existing websites, reviewing content, layout structure, navigation flow, and visual consistency. This audit revealed several key challenges:
Disconnect of visual styles across the two sites
Outdated pricing information
- Too many pages resulting in confusing navigation
This analysis revealed key focus areas for the overall layout, navigation, and content needs.
Information Architecture
Focusing on simplifying and consolidating, I was able to reduce two websites, with multiple pages each into a single page website highlighting the two types of storage solutions.
Navigation was dramatically simplified to reduce friction
Variation for the hero section included a scrolling carousel or side by side feature
Visual identity was defined and consistent throughout the page

Simplified, cohesive, and centralized source for information about Leatherstocking Storage and their expansion of services.
Now they own their website content and domains through Squarespace and can update content anytime to keep information up to date. This allows them to more effectively promote their services in the surrounding communities.
